Scripture Lesson: Genesis 14:18-2; Hebrew 7:3
Topic: Comparative Analysis of Abram, Melchizedek, Yahshua the Messiah, and Revelation in accordance with the Archetype Pattern of the Universe
Genesis 14:18-20
“18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high Elohim (God). 19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high Elohim (God), possessor of heaven and earth: 20 And blessed be the most high Elohim (God), which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all. 21 And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.”
Hebrew 7:1-4
“1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high Elohim (God), who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; 2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; 3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of Elohim (God); abideth a priest continually. 4 Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.”

Introduction of the High Priest and the Reality
Melchizedek prefigured Yahshua the Messiah. Very little is known about Melchizedek in the Law and the Prophets except that he was the king of Salem, priest of Elohim of the Most High.
He brought bread, wine. and blessed Abram, saying: “Blessed be Abram by Elohim Most High, Creator of heaven and earth. And praise be to Elohim Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand.” (Genesis 14:18-19)”
Now Abram gave King Melchizedek a tenth of everything he seized from the four kings, who took Lot his nephew in war and defeated the 5 kings (Genesis 14:20-21).
Few had any understanding of King Melchizedek of Salem, the priest of the Most High Elohim. This was primarily due to the fact the Law and Prophets were sealed and not revealed until Yahshua the Messiah came to fulfill the things that were in the Law and Prophets (John 5:39).
He told Israel they think they have eternal life in the scriptures which was an error for they testified of Him (Luke 24:27).
The Messiah appeared to the Apostle Paul after his conversion on the road to Damascus and set him straight.
Paul was trained in the law by Gamaliel (Acts 22:1-3; 5:34-39), Pharisee doctor of Jewish Law. Of all the apostles Paul knew how these laws were fulfilled by the Messiah for the Holy Spirit showed him.
Paul in his writings showed the relationship between the Levites priesthood and the Melchizedek priesthood and that King Melchizedek of Salem (Jerusalem), Priest of the the Most High Elohim was a figure of Yahshua the Messiah New priesthood established after his death.
Paul writes in his Hebrew epistle 7:3, the following “Melchizedek was without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, resembling the Son of Elohim (God), he remains a priest forever.”
This shows the Melchizedek priesthood was eternal versus the Levite priesthood which was temporary and was valid only until the New Covenant took effect (Heb. 8:13).
“In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.”
Yahweh setup a covenant with Moses and Israel, which gave them the law and tabernacle, after he brought Israel out of Egypt.
The chief duties of the Levite priests were to offer up sacrifices for Israel’s sins on the brazen altar in the tabernacle. It was also a place where Israel communicated with Yahweh through the Levite high priest.
Now all these things were figures, types and shadows under the Old Covenant of the reality to come, who is the Messiah. Quoting the Apostle Paul “3 For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer. 4 For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts according to the law: 5 Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of Elohim (God) when he was about to (Heb. 8:3-5)
Paul writes about the death of Yahshua the Messiah ending the the law and bringing in a more perfect priesthood after the Melchizedek under the New Covenant.
Paul writes the following about the Levite priesthood: “If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron? 12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. (Heb. 7:11-12)
For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. (Heb. 10: 1)

The Purpose of Melchizedek and the Messiah
Let’s examine the purpose of Melchizedek and Abram with the Messiah’s Mission and his next appearance as revealed in Revelation. What is the correlation between Melchizedek, Abram, Yahshua, and Revelation? What is the true meaning of giving tithes and how did the Messiah fulfill this? What do King Melchizedek of Salem and Abram represent? These are just a few questions that must be addressed. What must be understood is everything in the scriptures testify to Yahshua‘s mission of fulfilling the scriptures. (Jn. 5:39, Mat. 5:17-18)
Now Abram met King Melchizedek of Salem and priest of the Most High Elohim after returning from slaughter, and defeating four kings, who captured Lot, his nephew, who resided in Sodom. Now Sodom was one the five kings defeated by four other kings. They took Lot and all their possessions from these five kings, who were defeated. This was the essence on the story.
Now the four kings led by Chedorlaomeris a king of Elam mentioned in Genesis 14. Genesis portrays him as allied with three other kings, Amraphel of Babylonia, Arioch of Ellasar, and Tidal of Goiim, campaigning against five Canaanite city-states, Bera of Sodom, Birsha of Gomorrah, Shinab of Admah, Shemeber of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (or Zoar) in response to an uprising in the days of Abraham.
These four kings would come later to rule the world as Daniel saw in his vision of a Lion, Bear, Leopard with four heads and a fourth Terrible beast with great iron teeth (Dn. 7:1-9)
Abram fighting with the four kings represents Yahshua fighting spiritually with the fallen angels cast out of heaven manifested in the bodies of men. They were bound and He freed them. Isa. 61:1 “The Spirit of the Yahweh Elohim (Lord GOD) is upon me; because Yahweh (the LORD) hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;” It was His death that broke the power of the demons.
Now Abram returning from slaughter is the key role in translating this story. In reality, it represents the Messiah returning from His slaughter or being sacrificed for Israel’s sins. Isa. 63:1 wrote about the Yahshau’s garments of crimson, Who is this who comes from Edom, With dyed garments from Bozrah, This One who is glorious in His apparel, Traveling in the greatness of His strength?— “I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save.” Abram is a type of the resurrected Yahshua who presents himself with the redeemed soul by his precious blood.
Rev. 14:18-20
18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. 19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of Elohim (God). 20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.
Now Abram and Melchizedek are playing various roles of Yahshua The Messiah, the Redeemer and the Father blessing the Son and receiving his tithes (redeemed souls). As Abram redeemed Lot, this is the figure of Yahweh delivering Israel from Pharaoh’s slavery and the reality is Yahshua delivering the souls from the graves at the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
Abram coming back from the slaughter of four kings is a type of Yahshua, who offered Himself for slaughter. Isaiah wrote 53:7 “He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth.”

Spiritual Significance of Tithing
Few understand the meaning of tithing and how the Messiah fulfilled it.
Now Abram offered tithes to King Melchizedek of Salem, a Priest of the Most High Elohim, who represents the Father.
“Since Yahshua The Messiah, the True Son of Yahweh, who was born King of the Jews (Matthew 2:2; 27:37), fulfilled the Law and the Prophets (Matthew 5:17 K.J.V.), nailing “Carnal Ordinances” to His cross (Colossians 2:14), and He is NOW officiating in Heaven itself, and He is the One and Only Mediator between Yahweh and man (1 Timothy 2:5), the Only True King and High Priest, after the order of Melchisedec (Hebrews 5:5-10; 7:14-21). Then Satan operating through the earthly Roman Catholic Church tries hard to emulate or imitate Him (Yahshua the Messiah), and thereby continues to “Deceive” the people of this earth plane, as the Serpent or Satan did the woman Eve, in the Garden of Eden.” Elohim Text, Vol 4., p. 59
Under the law of Moses a tithe (Numbers 18:21–26), a tenth of the produce, was to be presented to a Levite who then gave a tenth of the first tithe to a kohen (Numbers 18:26)
Proverbs 3:9
9 Honour Yahweh (the LORD) with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:
Leviticus 27:30
30 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is Yahweh’s (the LORD): it is holy unto Yahweh (the LORD).
Deu. 14:28-29
28 At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates: 29 And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that Yahweh Elohim (Lord GOD) may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.
"17 After Abram returned from slaughter, the king of Sodom came out to meet him in the Valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley).18 Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. Hze was priest of Elohim (God) Most High, 19 and he blessed Abram, saying,“Blessed be Abram by Elohim (God) Most High, Creator of heaven and earth.20 And praise be to Elohim (God) Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand. Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything. 21 The king of Sodom said to Abram, “Give me the people and keep the goods for yourself.” 22 But Abram said to the king of Sodom, “With raised hand I have sworn an oath to the Yahweh Elohim (Lord GOD) Most High, Creator of heaven and earth, 23 that I will accept nothing belonging to you, not even a thread or the strap of a sandal, so that you will never be able to say, ‘I made Abram rich.’ 24 I will accept nothing but what my men have eaten and the share that belongs to the men who went with me—to Aner, Eshkol and Mamre. Let them have their share.” (Gn. 14:17-24)
Elam The name Elam is an Assyrian word meaning "high." "The inhabitants of Elam, or `the Highlands,' to the east of "Babylon, were called Elamites.
Who was Melchizedek?

Revelation 1st Chapter
The Apostle John in his panoramic vision of Revelation writes: “The Revelation of Yahshua the Messiah (Jesus Christ), which Elohim (God) gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: 2 Who bare record of the word of Elohim (God), and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.” (Rev. 1:1-2)
Now King of Melchizedek King of Salem and priest of the Most High is another manifestation of Yahshua the Messiah in the first chapter of Revelation In this vision John saw Yahshua the Messiah, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, meaning he was the first lamb slaughtered returning from the dead as Abram returned from slaughter with Lot to receive blessing from the King and paid him tithe.
This means as King of Salem, priest of the Most high, he was without a physical lineage. Hebrew epistle 7:3 states the following: “Melchizedek was without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, resembling the Son of Elohim (God), he remains a priest forever.”
“Mount Moriah is in the city of Jerusalem (formerly called Salem, and Zion, the City of David) in which Melchisedec, many years before this time had been ordained by Yahweh to carry out the functions of both King and High Priest.) Melchisedec, having no genealogy or pedigree, was without beginning or ending of days, and officiated in Salem 430 years before the giving of the Law from Mount Sinai and the establishment of the Levitical Priesthood.” Elohim Text, Vol. 4, p. 38
Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith Yahweh (the Lord), which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. (Rev. 1:5)
Here we have Yahshua Messiah first begotten of the dead and prince being slaughtered .
Now he gave John a prophecy that he will come later to fulfill, just as he did in the Law and the Prophecy, but this time He will come for the judgement of Mystery Babylon
“2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. 3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. 4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; (Rev. 1:2-4)”
“ 5 And from Yahshua The Messiah (Jesus Christ), who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. 8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. (Rev. 1:5-8)”
