Topic: P. 1, The Principle of “Itching Ears” Drawing Men Away from the Truth is Being Repeated Today
Scripture Lesson:
2 Tim 4:3-4
“3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
Introduction
There are many crises arising today bringing the world to the brink of cataclysmic change. This is primarily due to many theories, philosophies and ideologies, instead of sound doctrine, being presented to diagnose and find a solution for the crises.
The biblical verses 2 Tim. 4:3-4 describe many religious situations caused by those drawn away by their lusts from the truth, as having itching ears. This term is “used in the Bible to describe individuals who seek out messages and doctrines that condone their own lifestyle, as opposed to adhering to the teachings of the apostles.” * In other words, they were deceived from the truth by false doctrines.
The Messiah in His ministry told Israel they shall know the truth and the truth will make set them free. (Jn. 8:32)
Most people interpret these scriptures basically in a religious context, but they have universal applications.
As we know by insurance records, death certificates, embalmers and researcher from all fields, the vaccinations were proven to be unsafe. Many Nobel prize winners, former pharmaceutical employees, and medical researchers, such as Peter McCullough, Judy Mikovits, the controversial virologist attacking Anthony Fauci, Robert Malone, and others, sacrificed their careers to tell the truth.

Even in Wall Street, head fund managers, such as Ed Dowd of Blackrock, looked at statistics and found that millions of Americans have died and been injured by these vaccinations.

Now returning to Moses, the children of Israel knew they were delivered by the miracles of Yahweh through Moses’ miraculous hand. Yet in the wilderness after Yahweh spoke the 10 commandment law to them, they worshiped a golden calf and said it was that idol that delivered them out of Egypt (Exo. 32nd Chap). Again, we see those with itching ears being drawn away from the truth.
In the prophets, Daniel and his friends in Babylon (Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego), were ordered to bow to the image of the beast that Nebuchadnezzar had built (Dan. 3rd Chapter).
Daniel and his friends refused to bow down even after being threatened with death of being thrown in a fiery furnace. As they were thrown in the firey furnace, they were delivered by the power of Yahweh Elohim showing they were not deceived by the itching ears or the false doctrine of Babylon.
“Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of Elohim (God). Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, ye servants of the most high Elohim (God), come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, came forth of the midst of the fire. And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them. Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the Elohim (God) of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own Elohim (God). Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the Elohim (God) of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other Elohim (God) that can deliver after this sort.” Daniel 3:24-29 KJV
Now in the fulfillment, the Messiah knew the Scribes and Pharisees had deceived the people into not believing that He was the son of Yahweh (Matt. 23:27-28). Through their own lust and itching ears, they drew many from sound doctrine and the truth and persecuted them who did believe the truth.
The Messiah told His disciples in Matthew 24th chapter that the deception would be great.
“And Yahshua (Jesus) … said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.” Matthew 24:4 KJV

- In Geopolitics, Americans are told that Ukraine is winning the war, when in fact Russia has destroyed 50% of Ukraine’s infrastructure and occupies 80% of the city of Bakhmut. Russia is winning. Again, those with itching ears are being led away from the truth.
