Scripture Lesson: Ruth 3:6-13
Topic: P. 4, Chaos and the Third World War -
Cities of Refuge
Ruth 3:6-13 “6 And she went down unto the floor, and did according to all that her mother in law bade her. 7 And when Boaz had eaten and drunk, and his heart was merry, he went to lie down at the end of the heap of corn: and she came softly, and uncovered his feet, and laid her down. 8 And it came to pass at midnight, that the man was afraid, and turned himself: and, behold, a woman lay at his feet. 9 And he said, Who art thou? And she answered, I am Ruth thine handmaid: spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid; for thou art a near kinsman (or a redeemer). 10 And he said, Blessed be thou of Yahweh (the Lord), my daughter: for thou hast shewed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as thou followedst not young men, whether poor or rich. 11 And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my people doth know that thou art a virtuous woman. 12 And now it is true that I am thy near kinsman: howbeit there is a kinsman nearer than I. 13 Tarry this night, and it shall be in the morning, that if he will perform unto thee the part of a kinsman, well; let him do the kinsman's part: but if he will not do the part of a kinsman to thee, then will I do the part of a kinsman to thee, as Yahweh (the Lord) liveth: lie down until the morning.”

Introduction
In this fourth session of Chaos and WWIIl, the PLIM webinar will cover Cities of Refuge, as revealed in the Torah, the Prophets, and fulfilled by Yahshua the Messiah. These cities of refuge play an important role at the end of this Present Kingdom Age of Grace by Faith (Eph. 2:7-9).
The main purpose of this discussion is to show in accordance to the divine pattern of the universe, Yahweh Elohim’s place of refuge for WW3, not bomb shelters or government underground cities, are both the spiritual and physical on which is reflected. (Rom. 1:19-20)
Inside the Doomsday Bunker for the Super Rich
Yahweh had prepared Goshen, a place of refuge for Israel in Egypt. This place shielded Israel from the last seven last plagues poured out on the Egyptians by Moses and Aaron directly from Elohim. Also Elohim had prepared a city of refuge for Lot and his household. The angel told him to flee to the mountain, but Lot was fearful of going there. So the angel told him to go to a little city of Zoar.
“Hurry, escape there. For I cannot do anything until you arrive there.” Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar. 23 The sun had risen upon the earth when Lot entered Zoar.” (Gn 19:22-23)
There are those who Yahweh haven’t revealed himself, meaning the Creator hid himself from them spiritually as he did Cain for killing his brother (Gn. 4:13-4). Those in spiritual darkness will flee to their bomb shelters and others shelters in fear trying escape from the wrath of Yahweh, WWIII.
Quoting King David said Psalm 139:7-12 said the following fro those hiding from spirit, “Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? 8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. 9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea,10 even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. 11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” 12 even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.” (Psa. 139:7-12) New International Version
In the fulfillment of the scriptures, during Yahshua’s ministry, He clearly hid himself from those in darkness who sought to stone him.
“Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him, but Yahshua (Jesus) hid Himself and went out of the temple.” (Jn. 8:59)
The Apostle John in the panoramic vision in Revelation also says there is no hiding from the spirit of Yahweh. He states:
“They called to the mountains and the rocks, 'Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! (Rev 6:16)”
So there is no physical place to flee from the wrath of the Lamb, Yahshua the Messiah.
Few will understand why the cause of the war must occur, as revealed in the prophecy in Revelation 17th chp.

To begin this investigation of the cities of refuge, l will begin in the Law of Moses and the prophets (Isa. 8:20), as the founder H. C. Kinley in his panoramic vision, in 1931, admonished us to do in his book God the Archetype Pattern of the Universe. This lecture will show how these cities of refuge, which pointed to Yahshua the Messiah, were setup and for what purpose they were used.
In the last session, l covered the ‘blood of the avenger’ and explained it from Genesis to Revelation. The spiritual reality of the principle of the blood of avenger is simply the Holy Spirit taking vengeance of those who violated the laws of sin and death under the Old Covenant and the Law of the Spirit under the the New Covenant.
In the physical realm under the law, if a man accidentally killed someone, called manslayer (or involuntary manslaughter in modern terms), he had to flee to a city of refuge to escape the relative’s vengeance, the blood of avenger. By law, if someone was killed under the law of Moses, the next of kin had an obligation to atone for his blood. This is an important point that will be brought later with Yahshua the Messiah.
This law was fulfilled by the religious leaders, high priests, 70 elders, having their fellow brother, the Messiah, crucified. This shedding of Yahshua’s innocent blood (Jn. 19:4), as Pontus Pilate said, brought about eternal life to the believers.
But to those that rejected Him as their savior and one who shed innocent blood, the blood of avenger was upon them, preventing them from the resurrection (eternal life), which dammed their souls to eternal death.
Now that an understanding of the avenger of blood principle is achieved, this investigation of the cities of refuge can begin.
_________________________
In the Law, Yahweh had prepared Goshen (Gen. 45:10), as a place of refuge for Israel in Egypt. This place represented a city of refuge.
It shielded Israel from the last seven plagues poured out on the Egyptians by Moses and Aaron directly from Elohim.
Israel was saved from the death angel who killed the first born of those Egyptians that didn’t have the blood on the door posts of their houses.
Now in the Law of Moses if someone was accidentally killed by another person, called manslaughter, his next of kin was obligated by law to pursue the person and kill him.
The only option for the person who killed someone, manslaughter, was to flee to a city of refuge where a court was held to judge the matter.
He had to stay in the city of refuge until the high priest died. The death of the high priest released him from the blood of avenger. Then he was free to leave the city.
Here are the scriptures. “Then Yahweh (the Lord) spoke to Joshua, saying, 2 "Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'Designate the cities of refuge, of which I spoke to you through Moses, 3 that the manslayer who kills any person unintentionally, without premeditation, may flee there, and they shall become your refuge from the avenger of blood. 4 He shall flee to one of these cities, and shall stand at the entrance of the gate of the city and state his case in the hearing of the elders of that city; and they shall take him into the city to them and give him a place, so that he may dwell among them. 5 Now if the avenger of blood pursues him, then they shall not deliver the manslayer into his hand, because he struck his neighbor without premeditation and did not hate him beforehand. 6 He shall dwell in that city until he stands before the congregation for judgment, until the death of the one who is high priest in those days. Then the manslayer shall return to his own city and to his own house, to the city from which he fled.” Josh. 20:1-6
“There is a biblical difference between manslaughter which is killing someone without malice or forethought, and intentionally murdering someone.
Now the meaning of the“Avenger of blood” = go-el had-am = kinsman redeemer. A kinsman redeemer is the person who has legal right to fulfill an obligation. The kinsman’s redeemer pointed to the Messiah who redeemed Israel from the law of sin death.
The most famous case of a kinsman redeemer in the prophets is Boaz who avenged Elimelech’s death by taking Ruth as his wife.” More on this later.

Moses set up six cities in Israel governed by the Levitical priests. “Outside of these cities, blood vengeance against such perpetrators was allowed by law. The Bible names the six cities as being cities of refuge: Golan, Ramoth, and Bosor, on the east (left bank) of the Jordan River, and Kedesh, Shechem, and Hebron on the western (right) side.” Cities of Refuge -
The were three cities on the other side of Jordan in the wilderness. Moses wrote in Deuteronomy 4:41-43 of three sites in Cannan Land, a type of heaven. “Then Moses set apart three cities across the Jordan to the east, that a manslayer might flee there, who unintentionally slew his neighbor without having enmity toward him in time past; and by fleeing to one of these cities he might live: Bezer in the wilderness on the plateau for the Reubenites, and Ramoth in Gilead for the Gadites, and Golan in Bashan from the tribe of Manasseh.” Source: https://bible.knowing-jesus.com/topics/Cities-Of-Refuge
“There were six cities of refuge setup by Moses. These six cities were the inheritance of the Levite who administer the cities of refuge,The cities which you shall give to the Levites shall be the six cities of refuge, which you shall give for the manslayer to flee to….”(Num.35:6-7)
Quoting from the Torah “But if he struck him down with an iron object, so that he died, he is a murderer. The murderer shall be put to death. 17 And if he struck him down with a stone tool that could cause death, and he died, he is a murderer. The murderer shall be put to death. 18 Or if he struck him down with a wooden tool that could cause death, and he died, he is a murderer. The murderer shall be put to death. 19 eThe avenger of blood shall himself put the murderer to death; when he meets him, he shall put him to death. 20 And if he pushed him out of hatred or hurled something at him, flying in wait, so that he died, 21 or in enmity struck him down with his hand, so that he died, then he who struck the blow shall be put to death. He is a murderer. eThe avenger of blood shall put the murderer to death when he meets him.” (Num 35:16-21)
In the Law of Moses (Torah) Yahweh had setup cities of refuge to demonstrate that someone could escape the avenger of blood by fleeing to these cities of refuge. If the killer was caught outside of these cities, he could be killed by the blood of the avenger.
Quoting from the article "Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘Designate the cities of refuge, of which I spoke to you through Moses, that the manslayer who kills any person unintentionally, without premeditation, may flee there, and they shall become your refuge from the avenger of blood. He shall flee to one of these cities, and shall stand at the entrance of the gate of the city and state his case in the hearing of the elders of that city; and they shall take him into the city to them and give him a place, so that he may dwell among them."

“Now if the avenger of blood pursues him, then they shall not deliver the manslayer into his hand, because he struck his neighbor without premeditation and did not hate him beforehand. He shall dwell in that city until he stands before the congregation for judgment, until the death of the one who is high priest in those days. Then the manslayer shall return to his own city and to his own house, to the city from which he fled.’” So they set apart Kedesh in Galilee in the hill country of Naphtali and Shechem in the hill country of Ephraim, and Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron) in the hill country of Judah. Beyond the Jordan east of Jericho, they designated Bezer in the wilderness on the plain from the tribe of Reuben, and Ramoth in Gilead from the tribe of Gad, and Golan in Bashan from the tribe of Manasseh. These were the appointed cities for all the sons of Israel and for the stranger who sojourns among them, that whoever kills any person unintentionally may flee there, and not die by the hand of the avenger of blood until he stands before the congregation.” Source: https://bible.knowing-jesus.com/topics/Cities-Of-Refuge

In the prophets, there are example of a kinsman being a redeemer and refuge.
The Messiah mentioned many times that the Holy Scriptures testified of him. (Jn. 5:39) So Naomi’s kinsman and redeemer Boaz who avenged Elimelech’s death by taking Ruth as his wife pointed to the Messiah redeeming Israel. One has to understand the story to grasp all the nuances therein. https://www.nationalshrine.org/blog/ruth-and-naomi-a-story-of-redemption/
Now the story of Naomi and Ruth began with a famine in Bethlehem that caused Naomi, her husband, and their two sons to leave Bethlehem. They traveled to the land of the Moab, where Namoi husband died and her two sons married Moabite women, Ruth and Orpah.
After about a decade their husbands died, leaving Ruth and Orpah.
Naomi decided to return to Bethlehem and Ruth decided to go with Naomi, but Orpah returned to her mother.
When both returned to Bethlehem, it was harvest time of the barely and they both gleaned the field of Boaz, who was a relative of Naomi.
“And Naomi had a kinsman of her husband's, a mighty man of wealth, of the family of Elimelech; and his name was Boaz” (Ruth 2:1)
Boaz then spoke to Ruth, asking her to stay in his fields and offering her his protection. Ruth was awed by his kindness, asking what she could have done to earn his favor. He replied:
“I have had a complete account of what you have done for your mother-in-law after your husband’s death; you have left your father and your mother and the land of your birth, and have come to a people whom previously you did not know. May Yahweh (the Lord) reward what you have done! May you receive a full reward from Yahweh (the Lord), the Elohim (God) of Israel, under whose wings you have come for refuge.” – Ruth 2:11-12
Ruth told her mother-in-law Naomi what Boaz told her. “Then Naomi instructed Ruth to go see Boaz on the threshing floor that night. So Ruth did as Naomi bade her to, and went down to the threshing floor and uncovered his feet where he lay. Boaz awoke at midnight to see Ruth laying at his feet and was startled:” https://www.nationalshrine.org/blog/ruth-and-naomi-a-story-of-redemption/
“Who are you?” he asked. She replied, “I am your servant Ruth. Spread the wing of your cloak over your servant, for you are a redeemer.” He said, “May the Lord bless you, my daughter! You have been even more loyal now than before in not going after the young men, whether poor or rich. Now rest assured, my daughter, I will do for you whatever you say; all my townspeople know you to be a worthy woman. Now, I am in fact a redeemer, but there is another redeemer closer than I. Stay where you are for tonight, and tomorrow, if he will act as redeemer for you, good. But if he will not, as the Lord lives, I will do it myself… ”- Ruth 3:9-13 https://www.nationalshrine.org/blog/ruth-and-naomi-a-story-of-redemption/
Boaz being Ruth’s redeemer was a type of Redeemer and refuge from poverty. … “ went and spoke to the elders of the city, telling them of Naomi’s inheritance: a parcel of land from their relative Elimelech. He told the redeemer that in taking this land, he would have the duty of marrying Ruth. But the redeemer renounced his claim to the land, and so Boaz bought it for himself. Then Boaz took Ruth as his wife, and together they had a son named Obed. Obed gave birth to Jesse, who was the father of David, the eventual king of Israel.” https://www.nationalshrine.org/blog/ruth-and-naomi-a-story-of-redemption/

Now all the redeemers in the Law and Prophets were pointing to Yahshua the Messiah. He was the Redeemer and Refuge of Israel from the Law of sin death, Old Covenant (law of Moses), through his crucifixion, death, and resurrection.
Yahshua is also the ‘avenger of blood’ of the law of Moses, which represented sin and death. Paul writes “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Yahshua the Messiah (Christ Jesus), because through Yahshua the Messiah (Christ Jesus) the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:1-2
In addition, Yahshua is the Kinsman Redeemer of all that believe He is the Son of Yahweh the first begotten Son of the Father and the dead. (Jn. 5:28-20)
The Apostle Paul explained how Israel and the gentiles were redeemed by Yahshua the Messiah the kinsman redeemer -“Avenger of blood” = go-el had-am = kinsman redeemer.
“Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.” Hebrews 9:12-15
As shown in the law and prophets there were always cities of refuge set up by Elohim for believers to flee from the blood of avenger wrath of Yahweh.
When WWIII occurs there will be cities of refuge set up, as Goshen was setup for Israel in Egypt.
There were many Americans that had dreams and vision of cities destroyed by nuclear bombs and those cities spare. Return to the video of the Day to witness Henry Gruver who had such a vision.
Henry Gruver Americans Cities Destroy vision WWIII
In Revelation 7th chapter John saw the 144,000 and an innumerable host in white garments who kinsman redeemed them who is the Messiah. “And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.”
Revelation 7:13-14 KJV

The most famous case of a kinsman redeemer in the prophets is Boaz who avenged Elimelech’s death by taking Ruth as his wife.” More on this later.

Quoting from the Torah “But if he struck him down with an iron object, so that he died, he is a murderer.
