Blood of the Avenger
Matt. 24:1-7 “1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. 3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places."

Introduction
In such troubled times, the world faces nuclear war, economic chaos, and various pandemics unfolding. Many feel a need to seek a place of refuge, as many sought refuge in Florida when Hurricane Ian unleashed its fury.
With nuclear war on the horizon, many are seeking refuge from the nuclear blast, the ball of fire, and the radioactivity in bomb shelters or some other buildings.
Has Yahweh already set up places of refuge for His elect?
Few understand the purpose and plan of Yahweh Elohim that was setup from the very beginning of creation. Throughout the ages, Elohim has created places of refuge for his elect to spare them from his wrath upon the wicked, as shown with Noah and his family in the flood, Israel from the last seven plaques in Egypt and the three Israelites thrown in the fiery furnace by the king of Babylon and delivered when Elohim appeared in their midst (Dn. 3:8-29).
These physical places of refuge were just types and shadows (Rom. 1:19-29) of the true refuge, which is spiritual and psychological. This means we believe we are spiritual creatures with the Holy Spirit, who is the protector of the soul.
Now the true spiritual refuge in any catastrophe whether it be physical or psychological is in our Creator Yahweh Elohim.
David wrote about the refuge. “Elohim (God) is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1
As was shown in the Hebrew scriptures/Old Testament, Yahweh had set up the principle of refuge for Israel to understand this spiritual principle. Elohim setup provisional ‘cities of refuge’ by Moses to demonstrate this spiritual principle. There were six cities of refuge (“cities of intaking” [ערי מקלט).
It must be understood that the events in the Law and Prophets (Old Testament) testify to the Messiah’s works that He would do in the flesh. In essence, Yahshua the Messiah is fulfilling the scriptures (Mt. 5:17-18, Jn. 5:39).
In short, the blood of the avenger and the cities of refuge were pointing to the Messiah and they have a very important role in the close of the age, in relationship to the beast with the ten horns burning the harlot and the seven plagues poured out Mystery Babylon. (Rev. 16th chap.)
These cities of refuge were created by Elohim for someone who had unintentionally committed a killing and had to flee to a city of refuge from the ‘blood avenger.’ Now the blood avenger was a kin, usually a male, who was obligated to avenge the death by law.
The Cities of Refuge will be covered in Part 4, Chaos and World War III.
This is Part 3, Chaos and World War III and it will focus on the blood of the avenger from Genesis to Revelation. This is comparing Moses and John’s panoramic visions.

What is the Blood of the Avenger in the Torah?
A definition of the blood of the avenger is needed to better understand the term. This enables one to understand how the Messiah fulfilled this and how it is related to the book of Revelation.
Quoting from the article entitled “What is an avenger of blood in the Bible”, “In the Bible, an avenger of blood is a person legally responsible for carrying out vengeance when a family member has been unlawfully killed or murdered. The avenger of blood is usually the nearest male relative of the murdered person. This family executioner seeks justice by killing the individual responsible for the death of his relative.”
“Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘Designate the cities of refuge, of which I spoke to you through Moses, that the manslayer who kills any person unintentionally, without premeditation, may flee there, and they shall become your refuge from the avenger of blood. He shall flee to one of these cities, and shall stand at the entrance of the gate of the city and state his case in the hearing of the elders of that city; and they shall take him into the city to them and give him a place, so that he may dwell among them.read more. Now the article translates the word avenger in Hebrew. This will reveal how this pointed to the Messiah and his fulfillment. Quoting “The word translated “avenge,” in Hebrew, is related to the word for “redeem,” “reclaim,” or “restore.” As a representative of God and the family, the avenger of blood “redeemed” or “reclaimed” the blood of the relative by killing the original blood-shedder. An avenger of blood was to act only in cases of deliberate murder or the unlawful taking of an innocent life. Intent is a necessary element of murder. Six examples of intentional homicide are outlined in Numbers 35:16–21. The avenger of blood was not given license to act in instances of accidental manslaughter.”

One of the first instances of the blood of avenger in the Torah occurred when Cain slew his brother Abel. Elohim interrogated Cain and told him the earth crops wouldn’t yield to him and he would be “a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.” (Gn. 4:12)
Cain said to Elohim his punishment was greater than he could bear. ”And Cain said unto the Lord, My punishment is greater than I can bear. 14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.” (Gn. 4:13-14)
Here Cain acknowledged the principle of the blood of avenger when he said “… that every one that findeth me shall slay me.” This was before Moses and Israel were created. Showing forth this principle blood of the avenger was in operation from the very beginning of creation.

The origin of the blood of avenger started in the angelic creation when Lucifer caused the spiritual angelic death of the angelic host which he enslaved. In principle, Lucifer had slayed his brothers spiritual by his lies, by exalting himself above Elohim (Isa.14:12-14).The law that was given to the angelic creatures was “5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? 6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. 7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.” (Heb. 1:5-7)
It was Elohim who revealed the truth and power to Michael and he became the blood of the avenger by casting out the dragon and one-third of the angels of Lucifer by the war in heaven. (Rev 12:7-10)

In the prophets, in the book of Judges, Gideon was one of the Judges of Israel Elohim sent to deliver Israel from their bondage when they sinned against Yahweh.
Gideon took the blood of avenger on the Midianite kings Zebah and Zalmunna for murdering his brothers on Mount Tabor. (Judg. 8:10-21)
There were many instances in the prophets of the blood of the avenger.
Another famous instance of blood of the avenger occurred when one of King David’s first born sons, Amnon, by his wife Ahinoam of Jezreel, raped (2Sam. 13:1-13) his half sister Tamar (who was the full sister of the Absalom). King David refused to execute the blood of avenger on his son. (2 Sam. 13:21) Another of David’s son Absalom sought to slay his half brother Amnon for raping his sister (2 Sam. 13:32).

In the fulfillment with Yahshua the Messiah, He was the brethren of Israel, and the religious leaders Sanhedrin Council and the high priests sought to kill him with the aid of Pontus Pilate.
Now the blood of avenger occurred with the leaders of Israel remaining spiritual dead in their sins for rejecting Yahshua’s crucifixion, resurrection and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on His disciples. In other words, the blood of Yahshua was the atonement for sin and it was the blood of the avenger that got victory over the devil. It avenged the sin caused by the devil.

In the book of Revelation, the principle of the blood of avenger was revealed in this Present Age of Grace. People will ask, who is the blood of avenger against?
The Apostle John’s panoramic vision in Revelation the 5th seal being opened answered this question. Quoting the 5th seal: “And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth.” (Rev. 6:9-11)
Now those of Mystery Babylon the Great will receive the blood of the avenger who Yahshua the Messiah designated, Russia with the ten horns on the beast to burn the harlot.
John described the sins of Mystery Babylon blood of sons, and martyrs.
