Revelation 6:1-8 “1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. 2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. “3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. 4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. 5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. 6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. 7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. 8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. Introduction
To interpret the four horsemen in this sixth chapter of Revelation, one must go to the Law and Prophets (Isa. 8:20) to understand what the Apostle John is seeing in his panoramic vision, as Dr. H.C. Kinley admonished in his panoramic vision in his book Elohim the Archetype Pattern of the Universe.
It must be understood that there are two mysteries operating: the mystery of Righteousness and the Mystery of Iniquity (Job 1:6-12, 2 Thess. 2:7)
In fact, the theme of the 6th chapter of Revelation is reflected throughout the Bible: war, famine (Depression), pestilences and redemption for Israel.
The Lamb loosened the first four seals on the book by releasing the four horses and their riders which was Israel’s punishment for their disobedience. The prophet Ezekiel wrote: “For thus saith the Lord God; How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the noisome beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast?” Ezk. 14:21
The last three seals concern events around the Messiah’s death, His resurrection and the sealing of believing souls by the Holy Spirit which is a mystery to most Christians.

Now the Messiah’s words in the 24th chapter of Matthew are a condensed explanation of Revelation 6th chapter and repeat the themes above.
Dr. Warren wrote PLIM notes 01-21-2018 on this issue entitled Comparison and Correlation of Matthew 24th Chapter with the Book Of Revelation the Apostle John’s Panoramic Vision.
In fulfillment, Yahshua the Messiah, at the end of the Post Diluvian Age, stated the essence of what John saw in his panoramic vision of the four horsemen.
Matt. 24:3-9 “3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.”

Now Rev. 5th Chapter begins with the Lamb (Yahshua the Messiah) loosening the 7 seals on the book. Note: The Messiah, in His resurrected body, loosened the seals of the Law and the Prophets for His disciples on the road to Emaus (Lk. 24:44-46).
Here is a brief explanation of the four horses as revealed to Zechariah the prophet.
Remember in the Law of Moses, the four ensigns around the tabernacle are manifestation of the four horses and their riders in Revelation.
Zech. 1:8-11, 6:1-7
“8 I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses, speckled, and white. 9 Then said I, O my lord, what are these? And the angel that talked with me said unto me, I will shew thee what these be. 10 And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These are they whom the Lord hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth.11 And they answered the angel of the Lord that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest.”
Zech. 6:1-7
“1 And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass. 2 In the first chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses; 3 And in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grisled and bay horses. 4 Then I answered and said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these, my lord? 5 And the angel answered and said unto me, These are the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth. 6 The black horses which are therein go forth into the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the grisled go forth toward the south country. 7 And the bay went forth, and sought to go that they might walk to and fro through the earth: and he said, Get you hence, walk to and fro through the earth. So they walked to and fro through the earth.”
Rev. 6:1-2
“1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.”
As stated above, the four beasts represent four ensigns or three tribes around the four sides of the tabernacle or temple.
Rev. 6:2 - White Horse
“2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.”
“I will drive them out before you little by little, until you become fruitful and take possession of the land.” Ex.23:20
In the prophets, Joshua the Son of Nun went forth and conquered the 31 gentiles nations.
“18 Joshua made war a long time with all those kings”….”Now these are the kings of the land, which the children of Israel smote, and possessed their land on the other side Jordan toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Hermon, and all the plain on the east:”…: “,,,all the kings thirty and one. (Jos. 11:18, 12:1,31).
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost (Matt. 28:19).

Rev. 6:3-4 - Red horse
“3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. 4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.”
Num 31:2-4, 7-8
“2 Avenge the children of Israel of the Midianites: afterward shalt thou be gathered unto thy people. 3 And Moses spake unto the people, saying, Arm some of yourselves unto the war, and let them go against the Midianites, and avenge the Lord of Midian. 4 Of every tribe a thousand, throughout all the tribes of Israel, shall ye send to the war. … 7 And they warred against the Midianites, as the Lord commanded Moses; and they slew all the males. 8 And they slew the kings of Midian, beside the rest of them that were slain; namely, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they slew with the sword.”
Matt. 10:34
“34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.”

Rev. 6:5-6 - Black Horse
“5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. 6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.”
Joseph prepared Egypt for the seven years of the famine by interpreting Pharaoh’s dream of seven fats cows and seven lean cows, meaning seven years of plenty and seven years of famine.
“And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land.” (Gen. 41:30)
Then spake Elisha unto the woman, whose son he had restored to life, saying, Arise, and go thou and thine household, and sojourn wheresoever thou canst sojourn: for the Lord hath called for a famine; and it shall also come upon the land seven years. (2 Kgs. 8:1)
Yahshua said: “7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. (Matt. 24:7)”

Rev. 6:7-8 - Pale Horse
“7 And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. 8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.”
“For thus saith the Lord God; How much more when I send my four sore judgments upon Jerusalem, the sword, and the famine, and the noisome beast, and the pestilence, to cut off from it man and beast?” Ezk. 14:21

Rev. 6:9-11 - Martyrs
“9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: 10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? 11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.”
“During those many days the king of Egypt died, and the people of Israel groaned because of their slavery and cried out for help. Their cry for rescue from slavery came up to God. And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. God saw the people of Israel—and God knew.” Ex. 2:23-25
“When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.” Isa 34:17
“If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” John 15:7

Rev. 6:12
“12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;”
Earthquake
“Now Mount Sinai was wrapped in smoke because the Lord had descended on it in fire. The smoke of it went up like the smoke of a kiln, and the whole mountain trembled greatly.” Ex. 19:18
“And you shall flee to the valley of my mountains, for the valley of the mountains shall reach to Azal. And you shall flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the Lord my God will come, and all the holy ones with him”. Zech. 14:5
“And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And the earth shook, and the rocks were split. The tombs also were opened. And many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised, and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many. When the centurion and those who were with him, keeping watch over Jesus, saw the earthquake and what took place, they were filled with awe and said, “Truly this was the Son of God!” Matt. 27:51-54
The sun became black as sackcloth of hair
"Stretch out your hand toward the sky so that darkness will spread over Egypt--darkness that can be felt." So Moses stretched out his hand toward the sky, and total darkness covered all Egypt for three days.” Ex. 10:21
“And it came to pass, that at midnight the Lord smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle.” Ex.12:29
“2 For behold, darkness will cover the earth And deep darkness the peoples; But the Lord will rise upon you. And His glory will appear upon you. 3 “Nations will come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.” Isa. 60:2-3
“15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.” Joel 3:15
Matthew 27:45, “Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.” Mark 15:33 says, “And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.”
the moon became as blood
In the Law of Moses all feast days were based on the moon.
“The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord,” – Joel 2:31.
“The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord.” – Acts 2:20.

Rev. 6:13
“13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
Dn. 8:10 “It grew great, even to the host of heaven. And some of the host and some of the stars it threw down to the ground and trampled on them.”
Mk. 13:15 “And the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.”
Mk. 11:12-14 “12 And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry: 13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find any thing thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.14 And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard it.”
Rev. 6:14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
Isa. 34:4 “And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.”
Rev. 6:15-16 “And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:”
Hosea 10:8 “The high places also of Aven, the sin of Israel, shall be destroyed: the thorn and the thistle shall come up on their altars; and they shall say to the mountains, Cover us; and to the hills, Fall on us.” (Lk. 23:30-31)
Then Moses said: "Now show me your glory."19 And the LORD said, "I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the LORD, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 20 But," he said, "you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live."21 Then the LORD said, "There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock. 22 When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. 30 Then they will begin to say to the mountains, ‘Fall on us,’ and to the hills, ‘Cover us.’ Ex 33:18-22
