We have to understand that we are confined and imprisoned by what we see. In other words, vision is a three-fold principle: physical, mental, and spiritual. Sight in and of itself cannot bring about a full understanding of events unless one is cognizant or has a revelation of the situation.

For example, when one sees a truck coming in one's path one, he instinctively recognizes the danger and moves out of the way. Here seeing is a three-fold process: 

• seeing with the eyes, first, 
• recognizing the situation mentally second, 
• and taking the appropriate action, third.

Now the mental along with the emotional process play an important part in what we really see some of the time. However, in many situations the mental and emotional processes are insufficient to understand the situation. 

For example, a kiss can represent love, sexual desire, and reverence. In the case of Judas, when he entered the garden of Gethsemane with the priests of Israel, Judas kissed the Messiah (Lk. 22:47-48). It took the Messiah to give the true understanding of this kiss, for it was not a kiss of reverence or love. The Messiah said"Judas, would you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?" Clearly, this shows our sight or vision can betray us in certain cases without the Holy Spirit's revelation. Reason is insufficient.

David's son Absalom also used a kiss to steal the heart of Israel and rebel against his father. (2 Sam. 15th Chapt.)  More on this in part three.
