Introduction


The whole world is in a turmoil. Now the Messiah said let not your heart be troubled (John 14:1). 


“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.” John 14:1 KJV


The events in the world have troubled nations, corporations, educational and health systems, bankers, and people’s minds. Events are occurring in the world on various economic and financial levels, such as collapses, famines, pestilences (CoVID-19, monkeypox, vaccines), unemployment, record inflation, supply chain broken, wars, geopolitical, etc., that are causing people to shake and quake.


The future outlook of these events being solved are dim and unresolvable without a great deal of pain and chaos. They point to cataclysmic changes and much uncertainty on the horizon.


The question arises: what are  some solutions to quiet a troubled heart and mind? Are they physical or spiritual? Will acquiring physical food, gold, silver, money and ammo bring solace to the mind? It’s obvious that since the mind is spiritual these physical things, even if acquired, offer no consolation to the troubled mind.


The Master, Yahshua the Messiah, gave hints to His disciples on how to quiet a troubled mind. Because in his time His crucifixion, burial, resurrection, and outpouring of the Holy Spirit created very chaotic times (Matt. 27:51-53). These events changed Israel’s old, ritualistic practices and worship of the Messiah to a new one of worshiping Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:20-24).

The disciples were not able to discern the times of the changing seasons. It was the Messiah that gave them solace. He told them if they trusted in Yahweh, trust also in Him because He was going to prepare a place for them that where He was they you be also  (John 14:1-2). 


Likewise, today, people are not able to discern the signs of the times, nor the age is changing, due to a lack of knowledge of the purpose and plan of the creator.


Now every day the weatherman gives a prognostication for the weather. But our hearts are not troubled by the changes in the weather due to storms, tornadoes or changes in the seasons.  So from a physical standpoint, the weatherman is discerning the signs of the seasons, but not the signs of a troubled mind.


The Messiah admonished the Pharisees and the Sadducees who asked him for a sign from heaven.
“And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?” Matthew 16:3 KJV

There are many examples in the Law and Prophets where the prophets were sent to Israel to warn of changing times. 


The Law
For example, Noah was warned of the trouble times and the violence in the first age of time. Gen. 6th chap.


Moses was warned at the burning bush that the time of Israel’s slavery would be changing and freedom for them was near (Ex. 3rd chap).


The plagues were poured on Egypt to signify a troubled mind from which Israel had to leave.


The Prophets
Jeremiah warned Israel, as a sign of the times, that they would be in Babylonian captivity for disobedience to Yahweh for 70 years (2nd Chr. 36:21). 


The Fulfillment
During His ministry the Messiah demonstrated His power to quiet the mind when the disciples were crossing a lake in a ship (Mark 4:35-41). A storm arose and the Messiah said "peace, be still." 


“And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.”  Mark 4:39 KJV


This is a example of quieting the mind.


“And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”
Mark 4:41 KJV


The Messiah also said, as we mentioned earlier, that the signs of the times changed by His crucifixion, burial, resurrection, and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit from the ritualistic form of worship under the old covenant to a new age or new covenant. (Jer. 31:31-34) Thus, current events or signs of the times today are heralding in a New Age as John saw a new heaven and a new earth in Revelation (Rev. 21st chp).


It requires a spiritual translation of the consciousness to enter this new age. As the blood of the lamb slain in Egypt allowed Israel to enter into the wilderness.  


“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2 KJV


The events below are signs of the times, or symptoms, heralding in these changes or heralding in a New Age which the apostle John called a new order where wickedness is cast out.
