Scripture Lesson: Rev. 13th
Topic: An Exegetical Analysis of the 13th Chp. of Revelation by the Law and Prophets and the Divine Archetypal Pattern 


Rev. 13 KJV
“… 4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. … 7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. 8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. … 16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”


Introduction
We will examine the mysteries of 13th chp. of Revelation verse by verse. This chapter is not describing some events in the future, but events that are occurring now in the 21st century under the nose of the whole world. The 13th chapter is most famous for revealing the mark of the beast, 666. It also reveals the 4 beasts of Daniel's Vision (Dan. 7) coming together to form ONE beast, rising out of the sea (of men) with seven heads with crowns and 10 horns. The beast has the mouth of lion, body of a leopard, and feet of a bear. NOTE: The beast that John saw had ten horns with crowns and no crowns on the heads.


Remember, the beasts that John and Daniel are referring to are not in existence today (old Babylon, Medes & Persia, Greece, and the old Roman empire), but refer to the present day powerful kingdoms of the US/England, EU, China, and Russia which are the major powers today. NOTE: America has been dismantled industrially because it's the only nation that will resist the one world government. See Trump's Make America Great Again that is against globalism.

The Rev. 13th prophecy represents the great empires of the past coming together to form the One World Government. It is taking place now with the goal of forming a one world religion, a one world economic system, and a one world monetary system, where no one can buy or sell except they have the mark of the beast 666 in its varies manifestations. No one can make war against this beast and the world will worship it. 


Rev. 13:1 Beast horns with crowns and 7 heads
“ And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.”


John is describing in his vision the fourth beast that Daniel saw in his night vision, Dan 7:7. Here the ’sea’ represents a sea of people, Rev. 17:15 “… The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.”


Four beasts in Daniel 7th chp
“Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea. 3 And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another. Dan 7:2-3”

1. Lion had eagle wings - Babylon

“The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it. Dan.  7:4”

1. 1. Bear - Media & Persia

“And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh. Dan. 7:5”

1. 1. Leopard had 4 wings on back and 4 heads - Greece led by Alexander The Great

“After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it Dan. 7:6”

1. 1. Dreadful and Terrible Beast - Roman Empire

“After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. 8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. Dan. 7:7”


The Great Red Dragon had 10 horns with no crowns, 7 heads with 7 crowns when he was cast out of heaven and persecuting the woman clothed in the sun.  
“Rev 12:3-4, 3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. 4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.”


Beast like a leopard, bear, lion
“Rev 13:2  And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.”


Explanation 
Now John goes on to describe the beast with the ten horns as having the body of a leopard, feet of bear, and a mouth of a lion. In essence, John saw all four beasts of Daniel all together as ONE. These beasts give us a time frame. Clearly, the beast combined into one couldn’t be in the Post Diluvian Age for this is when Daniel had his vision and the four beasts were manifest before the Messiah’s birth. Thus, the beasts that John saw in his vision were a combination of one beast. Now this beast was to manifest in our present kingdom of grace, after the Holy Spirit was poured out in AD 34. 
It must be remembered that the great European nations of the world today, in the last five hundred years, the most powerful and prosperous, were part of  the pagan Roman Empire:  England, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, etc.


Rev. 13:3 “And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.”


See Text, Vol. 4, p. 63-64. In the Roman Catholic Church the deadly wound occurred when the protestants broke off. The final split was when Martin Luther put the 95 theses of reformation on the door of the Catholic Church. Along with non-Biblical rituals and ceremonies, the inquisition soiled the reputation of the Roman Catholic Church and led up to the Protestant split. The commission covered up and denied the inquisition occurred.  See Rev. 13:12 for quotes. 


This entire chapter takes place after Pentacost. The formation of the fourth beast and the head being wounded (the reformation) took place in this present kingdom is of grace around 1500 AD.


Now the 7 heads Represent seven mountains, which the city of Rome sits on today.


Now these heads could also represents the seven great empires through the ages. John said in his vision:
“Rev. 17:9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.”


The Roman empire was transformed from pagan Rome to Papel Rome.


“Rev. 13:4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?”


Now the dragon is Lucifer/Satan, who was worshiped in heaven and gave power to the seven angelic kingdoms (heads) with crowns. 


In the earth plane, Satan recreated these seven great empires in the earth plane: Babylon, Persia, Greece, Rome, Egypt, City Enoch Cain, etc. Satan showed these kingdoms to Yahshua the Messiah in the wilderness and told him he would give to him if he worshipped him (Matt. 4:8). Now no one had the power to resist or make war with any of these great empires that Satan set up in the earth plane or heaven.


“Rev. 13:5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.” 


42 months explained 
Now the 42 months equals 3 1/2 years or 1260 days and refers to the time the Messiah was in His ministry before His crucifixion.  Now this 42 months is 1260 years on the other side of Pentecost and refers to the time given to the devil to overcome the sons (Rev 11:2). See chart in Text, Vol 4, page 65.


Daniel’s prophecy concerns the coming of the Messiah into the flesh to remove sin and the daily sacrifice in the temple.


“Dan. 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”


Dan. 12:11-12 “And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days. 12 Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.


“Rev. 13:6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.”


Examples of Blasphemies
This began in heaven with Lucifer and passed on thru time.
“Acts 12:21-23 And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. 22 And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man. 23 And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.”


King Nebuchadnezzar lost his mind for becoming exalted.


“Dan 4: 10-36 21 Whose leaves were fair, and the fruit thereof much, and in it was meat for all; under which the beasts of the field dwelt, and upon whose branches the fowls of the heaven had their habitation: 22 It is thou, O king, that art grown and become strong: for thy greatness is grown, and reacheth unto heaven, and thy dominion to the end of the earth. 23 And whereas the king saw a watcher and an holy one coming down from heaven, and saying, Hew the tree down, and destroy it; yet leave the stump of the roots thereof in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts of the field, till seven times pass over him; 24 This is the interpretation, O king, and this is the decree of the most High, which is come upon my lord the king: 25 That they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will. 26 And whereas they commanded to leave the stump of the tree roots; thy kingdom shall be sure unto thee, after that thou shalt have known that the heavens do rule. 27 Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break off thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by shewing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquillity. 28 All this came upon the king Nebuchadnezzar. 29 At the end of twelve months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon. 30 The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty? 31 While the word was in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee. 32 And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will. 33 The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles' feathers, and his nails like birds' claws. 34 And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation: 35 And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou? 36 At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me.”


Today it is the the Pope of Rome ‘Vicar felli Dei’ Vicarius Filii Dei (Latin: Vicar or Representative of the Son of God) is a phrase first used in the forged medieval Donation of Constantine to refer to Saint Peter, a leader of the Early Christian Church and regarded as the first Pope by the Catholic Church.[1] Wikipedia 
Here is where Constantine made the Bishop of Rome the finally authority on ecclesiastical doctrine.
“Constantine's legalization of Christianity, combined with the donation of these properties, gave the bishop of Rome an unprecedented level of temporal power, for the first time creating an incentive for secular leaders to interfere with papal succession.”


In 1300 AD Pope Bonface VIII said every creature should be subject to the Roman Pontiff.


“Pope Boniface VIII (1294-1303) didn’t want to save your soul; he wanted to rule your life. Boniface VIII was one of the most ardent supporters of papal authority. What started as a minor squabble with King Philip IV of France over a government's ability to tax clergy members escalated until Boniface VIII excommunicated the king and released a decree stating that "every human creature [was] subject to the Roman pontiff.”

“Rev. 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.”


This verse begins with the out pouring of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles and saints as they begin to preach the gospel which led to their persecution by the Sanhedrin Council and Paul (Acts 8). So the believers were later overcome and their doctrines was replaced by the Roman Catholic Church led by Constantine who made the Pope of Rome the arbiter of all ecclesiastical doctrine.


“Rev. 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”


The Roman Catholic Church headed by the Pope became the dominant force or religion which most people worshipped.  Remember, Pope Boniface VIII said all human creatures must be subject to the Roman papacy.  (See p. 9) The followers of Roman Catholicism are those that are not written in the book of life.


“Rev. 13: 9 If any man have an ear, let him hear. 
Here the Apostle John’s vision from Yahshua the Messiah says to hear the words of this vision. Matt 11:15


Rev. 13:10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.”


The Messiah said the blind leads the blind and they all fall into a ditch (Matthew 15:14).  He that kills must be killed with a sword of truth. 


To understand this parable, it’s not speaking physically. But it’s speaking spiritually of a lie or false doctrine. This is what killing with a sword and leading one into captivity means. Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” ... His Word, Yahshua the Messiah, is the ultimate truth and light, (John 14:6) and we can find confidence in knowing He is our greatest weapon.


“Rev. 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.”


Here is another manifestation of the beast man of sin and his subtlety. King Herod told the wise men the following. “Go and search carefully for the Child; and when you have found Him, report to me, so that I too may come and worship Him.” Matt. 2:8


“Rev. 13:12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.”


See Rev. 13:3. The first beast’s deadly wound was with the 600-year inquisitions and crusades and there was no repentance to be found in the RC doctrine for this. The inquisition was a way to establish absolute power for the Roman Catholic Church. 


Someone asked the question: “What sort of commission is there that voices the repentance of the Roman Catholic Church for the six centuries (600 years) of brutal killings, tortures, burnings and the like. What is commonly known as the Inquistion, and also the Crusades ? Is there a monument or some place where one can go to read about that terrible time? The response follows. “A reminder that this is a Catholic board that, unlike some denominational boards, requires that all religions be treated with respect. To state that Catholicism is, to use your words, false and heretical, is neither respectful nor deserving of a response.”

This is Satan putting on the ecclesiastical role and working miracles such as changing the bread and wine into the body and blood of the Messiah. He takes off his war-like clothes and puts on clothes of a lamb.


“Rev. 13:13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,”

“Rev. 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.”


Throughout the Roman Catholic history there have been many miracles performed by the priests.  The Holy Spirit did these miracles to send them a strong delusion since they failed to believe the truth. 2 Thess. 2:11
There have been statues that have bled and cried tears.


Rev. 13:15  And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
